Pietro Pacciani Known as The Monster of Florence. Was convicted of the murders in 1994, but the decision was controversially overturned in appeal. However this last decision was overturned by the Supreme Court which ordered a re-trial. This could not be held as Pacciani died in 1998. Two of his alleged accomplices were also convicted.
