Stephen Griffiths (Stephen Shaun Griffiths) a British serial killer known as the Crossbow cannibal and the Bradford murders. Griffiths killed three prostitutes, but claims to have killed fourteen to beat fellow serial killer the Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe. Griffiths dubbed himself the Crossbow cannibal as he killed his victims with a hammer and crossbow and then later ate parts of them. In 2010, Stephen Griffiths was sentenced to life in prison with a whole life order at Her Majesty's Prison Wakefield in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England.

The Bradford murders were the serial killings of three sex workers in the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England in 2009 and 2010.43-year-old Susan Rushworth disappeared on 22 June 2009, followed by 31-year-old Shelley Armitage on 26 April 2010 and 36-year-old Suzanne Blamires on 21 May of the same year. Parts of Blamires's body were found in the River Aire in Shipley, near Bradford, on 25 May.
